Mackingtosh Man is a below average Huston film with a charismatic performance by Paul Newman, and a couple of good set pieces, but not among Huston's best.

The Man Who Would Be King is an excellent adventure story about two people's search for fortune that ends with tragic results. Connery and Caine are excellent in the film and it's too bad they never appeared in a Bond film together because they make a great team.

Wow, I thik I have only seen one John Huston film, STAGE COACH. Memorable for the low camera angles but that's all i recall aside from a young John Carradine (he was so cool).

Edit: Never mind, I saw Annie a few months ago. What an odd film.

Stagecoach is a John Ford film.

On Annie, I read that Huston did the film to pay off a gambling debt(he did other films based on this as well).

I forgot about Phobia... that's a bad film, but not as bad as Annie or Victory. Huston made a wide variety of films in a lengthy career. In addition to being a terrific director, he was also a fine actor - check out his avuncular villain in Polanski's Chinatown, for example.

Stagecoach is definitely a Ford film - I'm not keen on Ford's work, however, and this film is no exception. As Damian said, though, Carradine is cool in it.
