Apparently 88 Films are preparing a BD as well, which will likely be the best version.

Best news I've heard in a long time, right after just learning that Scorpion might upgrade MORTUARY to Blu. Long live the 80's!

    Great news. Love this film.

It was so much better than I had any right to expect

Thanks for the info. I was hoping someone else would do a BD since these Japanese releases are too expensive.

Great news. Their DVD is excellent, but I love this film and I'd upgrade in a heartbeat.

is 1:33.1 the OAR for this film? And if so, is the 2013 Full Moon release better than the original Full Moon DVD release?

I thought the Full Moon DVD looked good, if not a bit on the overly bright side during some daylight scenes. I was vaguely aware of 88 Film's DVD - does it improve on the FM transfer?

I actually thought the Full Moon DVD was the best looking DVD Full Moon released. It was a decent transfer (especially for the time), Widescreen and had a great commentary track.

I have the 1999 Cult Video/Full Moon release below. Is the one Full Moon released recently different in regards to content and picture quality or is it a direct port of the dvd I have?

Take a look at the dvdbeaver link I posted above, they share the same old transfer.

Yeah, I did check it out. They compare the 88 films release with the one I have but I'm wondering if the Full moon release from this year is the same as the one I have or has it been remastered in any way (which I doubt). I'm also guessing that there aren't any new extras. On amazon they don't list the special features but they list the aspect ratio at 1.33 which I imagine is a screw up on their part since they've done this time and time again. I wish they would include a scan of the back cover.
