Glad I held off the Region 1 blu of Re-Animator. I will snap all three of these films up! Re-Animator is the film that I credit for kick-starting my interest in cult cinema. Bride is not bad but the forced humor is not as amusing as the "unintentional" black comedy of the original.

They also told me that they're not sure of region coding as of yet.

I watched the screener disc for Second Sight's From Beyond blu-ray recently, and the new extras contain HD clips of Re-Animator. If the clips are anything to go by, their Re-Animator transfer is going to be stunning.

The From Beyond presentation, incidentally, is brilliant.

This was posted on Blu-ray.com, by one of the people who worked on the Capelight restoration:

A piece of information was brought to my attention that I thought may also be useful to know for some out here as the original announcement was made in German only.

Capelight has just issued a statement saying that the last remaining contingents of the RE-ANIMATOR Mediabook have been stocked by Amazon and a local retail chain. So whoever is interested in it or especially the INTEGRAL VERSION, which is exclusive to this release and in High Definition on Blu-ray Disc 2, might at least want to check regularly at Amazon for supplies as this (strictly limited) Mediabook is going out of print after those remaining stocks are sold. The INTEGRAL VERSION will not be part of the following-up Amaray 2-Disc "Combo" release version, which will only contain the UNRATED VERSION on Blu-ray and the UNRATED VERSION on a DVD.
The limited edition is still in-stock on Amazon.de, where it can be purchased for $35 shipped to the US. Keep in mind that the still-unannounced ('2014' was the latest update, back in July) Second Sight release will NOT include the integral version. This has been selling very quickly at Diabolik (all seven in-stock copies were sold yesterday from a re-order batch), so now is definitely the time to grab this.

What is the INTEGRAL VERSION? I think I've only ever seen the Unrated Version.

It is the unrated version with a bunch of the deleted scenes added back in.

Has anyone seen the INTEGRAL version? Thoughts on if it betters the film at all?
Adding deleted scenes can go 50/50 on improving a film or making it worse.

I haven't seen the integral cut, but I've seen the deleted scenes and I think the film works better without them.

Based on the deleted scenes, I think some should be put back (like the psychic dinner table scene) in and others shouldn't (like Bruce and Barbara in bed for six hours). So I don't know about this integral cut...
"I'm nostalgic for conversations I had yesterday. I've begun reminiscing events before they even occur. I'm reminiscing this right now. I can't go to the bar because I've already looked back on it in my memory... and I didn't have a good time."
