I'm going to have the buck the trend here - My dollar store purchased East West DVD of CAPTAIN APACHE is one of my favorite possessions. And what a career director Alexander Singer had - an early friend / collaborator of Stanley Kubrick, he worked on DAY OF THE FIGHT, KILLER'S KISS and THE KILLING before directing A COLD WIND IN AUGUST. He remained active in television until the 90s, working on DEEP SPACE NINE and VOYAGER.

I guess you either love or hate CAPTAIN APACHE; I cherish it, warts and all...

Extreeeme longshot, but since this was a Scotia release and had a budget DVD from Geneon, I wonder if this is in the package Severin picked up when they got the rights to HORROR EXPRESS and THE BABY.

I love me some Captain Apache! from what I recall there were a group of Euro westerns from the time that always used to be Friday night viewing in the seventies and the others included A Town called Bastard, Pancho Villa and (the really awful) Bad Man's River.

I streamed this from Netflix maybe a year ago, so it might still be available to check out there. Definitely NOT as good a take on the political assassination as The Price of Power, but hey... It's about a thousand times better than White Comanche and Little Rita of the West!

A Town Called Bastard?!?! Now there's an attention-getting title.
