    Michael Caine Film Title

When I was a boy (10, 11, 12?) I saw a movie on TV, and I'm pretty sure Michael Caine was in it. My father was in the room at the time too. The opening scene is all I remember. Two women disguised as statues with bows and arrows were perched on the roof of a building (church?) and waited until a man passed by. They both shot him with the arrows, then turned and shot each other. Michael Caine witnessed this. That's all I remember. I asked my dad why the women shot each other (I didn't understand at the time), and he said something like "to keep from getting caught".

So, anyone know what I'm talking about? Is this a Michael Caine film, or something else?

Guess I should've mentioned that this film is at least 30-years-old. Late 1960s or early 1970s. Possibly a spy movie, or action movie. Not sure if that helps.

Well, it's not The Ipcress File. I've not seen the sequels, Funeral in Berlin or Billion Dollar Brain, so I can't say for sure if it's one of them.

I just watched trailers and clips of these movies on YouTube, and I can't be 100% sure, but I don't think it's one of these. This has been bugging me for years. I know I saw a film with this scene in it. It was probably from the 1970s.

Haven't seen this one, but maybe... Peeper.

I don't recall the film I saw being a "comedy-mystery" as PEEPER is descibed on IMDb, but I appreciate you trying to help me out, Troy. The user review I read said the film isn't shown on TV, and I saw this on TV with at least my dad, maybe the rest of my family. This was roughly 30 years ago, so my memory is hazy. I might not remember it correctly. I used to watch all kinds of movies on TV as a kid.

    Perhaps THE MAGUS (1968)?

Yes, I think Richard is right. It's THE MAGUS. Below is a TV GUIDE ad mat for the film. The ad is a little over 30 years old and it wasn't shown much on TV:

It wasn't a Michael Caine movie after all. It was Gold of the Amazon Women with Bo Svenson. Told you my memory was hazy! The problem here is this none of the YouTube videos I've found are in English. Is there an English print somewhere I can watch or buy?
