Wow, Corman titles, Carpenter's ELVIS, and THE T.A.M.I. SHOW!!! Never thought I'd ever see T.A.M.I. come out. Shout Factory is burning rubber! Great news!
Fantastic News. I have the Roger Corman Collection (Piranha, Rock & Roll HS, Deathrace 2000 and Hollywood Bouelvard) and it is one of the prizes of my collection.
I am all over any of these releases. Granted I prefer the ones Roger produced rather than picked up. Whether singles, doubel features or sets, I am there. These were some of the most fun flicks I've seen. Great Texas Dynamite Chase. Anyone who cares about real down and dirty filmmaking would appreciate Hollywood Boulevard. I think the guy with the beard who hoses down the chicks later went on to much acclaim wokring on ER. These are suh fun movies. Wasn't the Corman edict to his young directors, no more than ten minutes without an explosion of some kind or tits.
And though off topic, the mere though of The TAMI Show is psychedelic! I used to dream of a release of that and the TNT show together. TAMI wins though. JB kills, leave no pirsoners.
Kudos Cliff & Co. Merry Christmas to you and yours. May Santa leave a few Student Nurses under your Christmas Tree.

DARKTOWN STRUTTERS with commenatary by George Armitage? Please?
I can dream, can't I?
By the by- there's FINALLY a book about New World: MIND WARP! out from Hemlock UK, available in US by Midnight Marquee. If I'd known about this, I'd have had a different xmas wish list...

The uninformed vs the obnoxious. How quickly a thread can degenerate.
How about widescreen for the main feature with open matte scenes as extras?
Would love to have FLY ME, SUMMER SCHOOL TEACHERS and THE STUDENT TEACHERS
I hope that they give "Summer Camp Nightmare" the treatment it deserves.
It is my favorite film of all time.
Yeah, a VHS port.
What I'd like to see...
1. A new BIG BAD MAMA disc that includes the extra Dick Miller footage that Joe Dante shot to pad out the network T.V. version
2. THE FINAL COMEDOWN, with all the alternate footage Allan Arkush shot for the 1976 re-release (as BLAST)
3. An uncut RANSOM/ASSAULT ON PARADISE/THE TOWN THAT CRIED TERROR, which I think also had alternate footage shot for its re-release as MANIAC!
4. A documentary on artist John Solie, who painted so many memorable New World one-sheets (TNT JACKSON, SAVAGE, BIG BAD MAMA, COCKFIGHTER, DEATH RACE 2000, etc.)
5. An interview with Ron Gans, who voiced pretty much all of the early New World trailers
I love Gans! I was under the impression that he was no longer among us, though.
Where can I see a list/read reviews of the films included in this deal? I ask because I'm thinking of the post-Corman New World titles previously handled by Anchor Bay. Personally, these are the films I'm mostly interested in seeing fresh releases of, hopefully on Blu, someday. This is not to say I'm not excited to hear this news, esp. re Piranha but I've never seen most of the movies mentioned above. I'd love to be pleasantly surprised, though.

Cliff, any chance for double features formatted like the Grindhouse/Expliotation Cinema line??? New World pictures had such great trailers and that line of BCI's double features seemed to be pretty popular. It would be a great fit. I'd love to see Night of The Cobra Woman, Savage! and The Arousers(with Tab Hunter!)
