If Midnight Choir turns out to be a good label then 2009 might be a HUGE turn around for cult movie fans. The past year or two it looked like things might be coming down to the end but with Severin, MYA, and Dark Sky we might be ok. Be nice to see if Blue Underground plan on putting out anymore SD titles.

Let's hope these aren't bootleg releases - it seems odd that they have Whip and the Body as that's out through Anchor Bay - that's my main concern.

    Wasn't this out thru VCI?

I just realised Whip and the Body was out through VCI (and not Anchor Bay) and I expect their license may have expired by now.

VCI did a good job with Whip for its time, but the time has come for an upgrade. If the MC edition looks as fine as the German edition and provides the Italian track and English subtitles (hopefully in less cartoony font!) present on the VCI disc, I'll be a happy camper.

CONSPIRACY OF TORTURE should be good. Apparently Johnny Legend (I got know idea who he is I'm just name-dropping) is running this and it's via RYKO. RYKO are legit, they don't put out bootlegs???

I never saw BEATRICE CENCI, but I heard so much about it, I can't wait to check it out!

RYKO is connected to No Shame, yes.

And Beatrice Cenci is a gem - one of Fulci's best films, and while I was reasonably happy with the German release, there's room for an improved edition.

I'm not holding my breath. Let us not forget the poor dvd he/Legend House released of TORTURE CHAMBER OF DR. SADISM (a clear/poor dupe of the EMS/German dvd).

Maybe this is a stupid question, but who is this Johnny Legend?

I'm not sure exactly who that is, but with these posts in mind, my heart has sunk a wee bit...
