    Color Climax

I'm collecting color climax shorts and have around 200 now. I was wondering if there was a site that had a list of them all or maybe a book or anything.

    http://www.colorclimax.com/

This is their official site and features many "Authentic COLOR CLIMAX movies as shown in the peep-shows of Germany and Holland".

I agree with you, I'd love to see a book about their colorful history (pardon the pun ) and a list of all of their film/video titles (with the date of release). I'm also really interested in their shadier films (i.e. bestiality, films involving children!!!) that are now illegal. During the 70's Color Climax had an anything goes mentality, it would be interesting to hear the stories behind some of these more despicable titles.

    All the best,
    Kevin

I agree 100% I'm just interested in the titles and the history behind these more outrageously sick films, I definitely have no desire to actually view the child stuff. It's very distrubing to me. Like I said they had an anything goes attitude back then and I can't believe some of the areas they went into. Does this book "Child Pornography: An Internet Crime" talk about the Color Climax stuff?

    All the best,
    Kevin

I agree with you. just the fact that they made commercially available child pornography is interesting in its self. I don't have the book. it's not on amazon and i don't wanna go walking into bookshops shouting hey have you got that child porn book I've looked everywhere. It's cited on color climaxs wikipedia page so yeah i think it has some stuff about them in there.

Actually it is on amazon I may look into it. http://www.amazon.com/Child-Pornogra...965363&sr=11-1

Did Color Climax make any feature films, or did they only make loops? Oh and why don't they put their films out on DVD? I mean their films that are legal, not their illegal films.

I don't know if they made features but I think some of the loops must be on DVD somewhere as the quality of some that I have a better than VHS rips or really old 8mm prints. Maybe I'm wrong though.

This company made movies with kids?! I had read something about this on another forum but it didn't get much discussion. I have no desire to see these films but I am curious as to how they were able to get away with it (assuming they did). I know this company was not US based. But damn, that is pretty ballsy, to say the least.

    HI !!!!!!!!

It was the very early seventies and it was Denmark and there was this blast of sexual freedom with the legalisation of pornography (first democratic country in the world where porn wasn't illegal).

And now mix this up with the above mentioned "anything-goes-mentality" and you are right up with bestiality and kiddie porn.

A few years later barriers were made. So they let the child porn go. And I guess it was more selfrestriction than force from outside.

    Did they features ?
I don't know exactly but I think not. In the eighties they distributed some US-features on video.

I think that kind of stuff really wasn't illegal until the mid to late 1970's in the US, even later in some other countries. I've read that type of material was even sold in US porn stores at the time (I was way too young to frequent porn stores during that era, so I don't know how true this is).

Although there were a few Colomax films with REAL underagers, one must remember that you only need to be 16 to act in X rated films so "kids" might also refer to that.

I'm very interesting in true crime stories and have the complete collection of a great, sleazy magazine called "Violent World" (the punk band The Misfits would latter make a musical tribute to this magazine in there song "Violent World" featured on their "Walk Among us" album). The magazine was out of the New York area and from late 1970's (unfortunately, it only lasted about five issues).

In one of the issues they featured a story about child pornography and how some porn shops sold it on 42nd street. In the article they show pictures of some of the (seemingly) commercial magazines that specialized in child porn!!!! I remember one of the magazines featured in the article was called "Moppets" or something like that. So your right when you say that in the U.S. some adult stores sold child porn back in the '70's. And these kids were YOUNG, like 5, 6, 7 ect. It was pretty fucked up!! In the article they explained how the police would come into these stores and confiscate the child porn material and when the police left the store, the owner would just take some of the his child porn stock out from under the counter and put it back on the shelves!!!!

The article also went into some of the kids lives and how they were used in the child pornography world, it was incredibly heartbreaking!! (though I don't know how true these cases were, since the magazine was incredibly sleazy and sensational). Like Akos said about Denmark in the early 1970's, about porn being decriminalized and the new sense of sexual freedom, this was not only the case in Denmark but also in many parts in the Western world. In the 70's you also had the rise of groups like N.A.M.B.L.A. and so forth.

I was shocked to read about the nonchalant attitude when it came to these store owners selling child porn in the '70's. Even though I'm against the Government censoring porn (the Meese commision in the 1980's, Max Hardcore facing 'obscenity charges' ect.), this is a totally different story and I'm glad that the F.B.I. and others have taken it more seriously and cracked down on it.
