I think THE WHO BY NUMBERS is THE WHO'S most underrated album.
It has some of Roger's and Pete's best vocals...it also features my favorite pianist Nicky Hopkins.

Let me/us know if ther's a big enough improvement on sound quality to double-dip, Gary

I had the old early/mid 80's release of by Numbers and the new one blows it away sound wise plus it has a couple of live cuts on it as well. When I picked it up the Amazon download was $5 so for me it was a no brainer.

    Recent pick ups:
BROADSWORD & THE BEAST-JETHRO TULL remastered with a much better sound than the original pressing plus 8 more cuts

JOHNNY WINTER AND-JOHNNY WINTER import album (not the live album of the same name). 1st studio album with Rick Derringer. Not remastered but it was only $5 and worth every penny.

If you have itunes listen to samples from By Numbers and compare it to what you have. I mention Itunes because they let you sample 90 seconds of most songs as opposed to other websites' 30 seconds.

    Thanks Evil Dude but I don't have a I-pod or I-tune account.
I'm sure it will sound better as the first cd issue was in the early days of cds.
Also in its favour~it's not hard/heavy music so they wouldn't have compressed the damned thing up the wazoo like they do with heavier band re-issues.

For twelve bucks I'll take the chance.
