In all the fuss about the new Ercoli set, I have seen little mention of this bleak poliziesco directed by Ercoli. I haven't seen the movie since the late 1980s, and I've just taken receipt of the old UK CineVideo cassette (under the title KILLER COP). It's in gorgeous condition, and it appears to be fully letterboxed (but squeezed to around 1.78:1). I'm excited at the prospect of viewing the movie again.
Does anyone else have a fondness for this film? I realise it's been released on DVD in Italy (has it been released anywhere else?), but what's the quality of the DVD like?
I'm particularly fond of one of the alternate titles for the move: PORTRAIT OF A 60% PERFECT MAN. (This title was also used as the title for a 1980 feature documentary about Billy Wilder, IIRC.) Has anyone ever seen the movie under this title?
