I guess there is good acting, bad acting and 'overacting'- which I guess is really bad acting.
Can you give me examples of 'overacting' in films or actors you think overact badly?
I'll start the ball rolling with a couple of examples you may agree/disagree with:
Jon Voight in ANACONDA- Bloody entertaining though....
Malcolm Mcdowell in CALIGULA and THE PASSAGE- liked the latter film but his over the top performance has to be seen to be believed.
Nic Cage- Can be very good when given the right role but an understated performance is not his strong point. Too much of the method acting thing.
Dennis Hopper- Lots of over the top performances here. Maybe it works in BLUE VELVET but it's almost a parody.
