To Live and Die in L.A. region confirmation?

I'm getting conflicting info on the new TO LIVE AND DIE IN L.A. U.S. Blu Ray.
A lot of sites state it is Region A locked but DVDBeaver says it is region free.
I'm from the U.K. so if anyone knows the correct region I would be very grateful.

I have this blu-ray how can I confirm its region free? I live in Canada so I have a region A player I guess.

If you already have the DVD you won't need this Blu-ray - I didn't see any differences in picture quality between the DVD and BD. In fact, it looks exactly the same. I've seen the DVD for as low as $10 so go for that and skip this waste of time and money. The movie, on the other hand, is great.

The screenshots of the new BD on DVD Beaver look MILES ahead of the 2003 DVD release. I trust their reviews (well, because they are spot on and use actual screengrabs, etc. and it looks night and day to my eyes from those grabs). I'll find out soon enough because AMAZON has shipped my copy and I should have it in a day or two.

I'd trust what dvdbeaver is saying. They have the Momitsu region free player and can check to see what region it is. This is because the Momitsu isn't really region free, but can have a code entered to switch it from region A, to B and to C. So if the disc is region B locked and the player is switched to region A or C then the disc won't play. But, if the disc plays when the player is in all three regions then it is region free.

Those screenshots don't lie. Looking forward to picking this one up as well.

A more lukewarm review of the Blu-ray:

Man, that person doesn't like the movie very much. At all.

Oh well, more for me.

I picked this up last week, and watched it the other night. I watched it on my 1080i Sony Bravia, and it looks supreme.

Just in case anyone's interested, we are giving away copies of this in the feedback/contests section.
