Re: CRAZY INDONESIA
Yes, yes it is
. Peter seems far more nice and down to Earth than Barry Prima, so expect an interview as opposed to an encounter. lol

Re: CRAZY INDONESIA
I've never seen it, but only heard rumors of it being really weird.

Re: CRAZY INDONESIA
I remember you (Jack) linked to a Pete Tombs interview where he said Barry had been up clubbing all night before the "encounter"... They should have started the interview by clarifying "Coke or E, Barry????"

I have only ordered from him once when I ordered LEWD LIZARD which he describes on his site as a "good quality print". I guess we have different definitions of "good quality"; to me it looks like a washed out 5th generation print. ![]() |

![]() Shoot me yr addy and I'll send you a copy off my Danish tape. By the way, another highly recommended grey market seller with a good selection of Indo & Filipino stuff is ZDD (some people don't care with cover art on their bootlegs but I like a nice cover and this place has got the best covers and disk print I've seen). With this seller you don't need to wait two months to find out you're not getting your stuff anyway, he usually ships out within 24 hours. Last time I ordered a film I think I received notice that my dvd was sent off after three or four hours!!! Last edited by Jack J; 12-17-2008 at 04:39 AM. |

Re: CRAZY INDONESIA
WE HEARD FROM PETER O'BRIAN!!!
Ian and I are hoping to do an interview but until then here's a letter Peter O'Brian sent. You can read it on either of our blogs: http://hkfilmnews.blogspot.com/2008/...er-obrian.html http://enlejemordersertilbage.blogsp...bu-speaks.html . Last edited by Jack J; 12-24-2008 at 09:13 AM. |

Re: CRAZY INDONESIA
My god!! Check this eBay auction out for the THE WARRIOR (aka Jaka Sembung) sequel WARRIOR AND THE NINJA (aka Warrior Vs The Ninja/Warrior & The Ninja Girl); Right now there's about four days to go and the price so far is... $400!!!
![]() It is the very nice Greek letterboxed tape but still. Early last year I won it from the same seller (who happens to be Bill from Onar) and got it for a "mere" $66 (which is also insane for an old video tape, I know, I know). My bet is this sudden interest is caused by Mondo Macabro's new DVD release of THE WARRIOR and more people are aware of the series now. But still, absolutely insane, haha. ![]() In order not to break forum rules I should point out I'm not in bed with the seller nor do I want anybody to go for this auction. But please do send me free money or candy if you feel like it. You get nothing in return other than my [non physical] love. Last edited by Jack J; 01-04-2009 at 02:15 PM. |

Re: CRAZY INDONESIA
I know it's not Indonesian (it's from Thailand, actually), but my review for director P. Chalong's IN GOLD WE TRUST (1990) is now posted on my website here: http://www.critcononline.com/action%...#InGoldWeTrust

Re: CRAZY INDONESIA
Hey Fred,
Ever hear of a P. Chalong film from the late 80s called Eye Of The Condor? I dusted it off the shelf the other day and forgot how over-the-top it is. Dubbed and distributed by our old friends from Manila, Davian International, it features a Bond-style hero looking for a stolen diamond with a family of dwarves. With mad kung fu, heist capers and a final half hour that outdoes even a Bobby Suarez climax, this is E-SSENTIAL! |
