Please support AV Maniacs by visiting our affiliate links. If you plan on making an order, please click one of the above links. This will help sponsor our redesign, which is in the works.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR A USER ACCOUNT!

1 - ALL MEMBERS MUST USE THEIR REAL NAME AS AN THEIR USER NAME, OR THE ACCOUNT WILL BE DELETED! You can use either your first and last name or first and last initial. EXAMPLE: John Doe; John D; J Doe. If you were previously setup under an alis and find you're unable to post, PM a moderator as your account has probably been unregistered for that reason. This policy was put into place in Dec. of 04 and numerous announcements and a bulk email have all been sent out ensuring that everyone knew about it ahead of time. NEW MEMBERS - PLEASE BE SURE TO SIGN UP USING THIS FORMAT.

2 - Also, duplicate accounts are not cool. Please don't sign up for more than one account. If there's a problem with your current one, let a moderator know.

3 - Please try and keep politics out of the discussions on the boards. When we have allowed them in the past, they've always gotten ugly and ugly is no fun at all. This includes using blatantly political avatars or pictures in posts.

4 - No personal insults will be permitted, this includes racial slurs and so on. This is extremely important to keeping the posting environment friendly, and we dont' have a lot of tolerance for this.

5 - Nudity. We all love it, but some of us post from a work environment so if you're posting an image that contains nudity, please make sure that there's a warning in the subject header so members posting from work can avoid that thread.

6 - Don't trade DVD-Rs or tape dupes of commercially available discs on the boards.

7 - Keep your signatures to one line or so, and one link.

8 - If posting news or info from other sites, please be considerate to them and give credit where credit is due. Copying someone elses work and even unintentionally taking credit for it just isn't cool.

That's pretty much it. Treat everyone with respect and things will go fine. As always, if you have any questions or concerns the admins or moderators will be happy to help. Feel free to PM them or email myself or Edwin directly through the contacts page. We won't bite.

The AV Maniacs - Forum Rules
Forum Rules
In order to proceed, you must agree with the following rules:
Just a quick note from your friendly neighborhood administrators that there are a few rules we all need to keep in mind as we post here. Just to keep things friendly and a comfortable environment for everyone we request that all users abide by the following simple, basic rules: 1. First of all, we're requesting that everyone sign up on the boards under their real names. This makes trolling less likely and makes things easier from a moderation stand point (as well as for contest giveaways and the like). 2. No personal attacks will be tolerated. This includes name calling, racial slurs, etc. This is first and foremost the most important rule. Treat your fellow posters as you would have them treat you. It's pretty much common sense, but it needs to be stated. 3. Signatures must be one line, standard font with no images. If you want to include one link you may add it to appropriate place, which is your profile. 4. Please do not intentionally derail threads. It's annoying. 5. No spamming for products or other websites without permission from the moderators. Obviously posting links to reviews and related material is fine but we'd like to avoid people coming here with the express intent of promoting things without adding anything to the discussions or the boards. 6. Please do not post nude images without the proper warning in the title of the thread. Many people check the boards from work computers and this can cause problems for them. We don't want that. 7. One User Account Per Person. This makes moderation easier. We do check these things! 8. No trading DVDRs of commercially released products. 9. Finally, please keep political and religious discussions off the board. It's understandable if it happens in the context of a specific film but political and religious debates have proven time and time again to lead to fighting and it's just easier for everyone if we keep this discussion off the boards. Failure to follow these rules may result in being suspended and/or banned permanently from posting on the DVD Maniacs.net Message Board. Thanks ahead of time and if there are any issues, feel free to email any of the administrators or moderators. We're friendly. Honest.
