As Long As it's Love-Decent late 1980s film by Lina Wertmuller with a good international cast headed by Rutger Hauer. A very good performance by Hauer.

Swept Away was very good, but Seven Beauties is a masterpiece - Giannini's performance in that is one of the finest I've ever seen. I need to see more of Wertmuller's films.

I liked "Ciao Professore" and "The Nymph". I have "Blood Feud" and "The Seduction of Mimi" sitting around, but I haven't got around to watching them yet. My old girlfriend dragged me to the Madonna version of "Swept Away", and it's unfortunately taken away all desire for me to go back and see the original.
I watch A LOT of Italian movies, and there seem to have been about three female directors in allof Italian film history--Wertmuller, Lileana Calvani (of "The Night Porter" fame), and Asia Argento (who I think they've probably kicked out of Italy by now). Wertmueller is considered the greatest of the three, but I haven't really seen enough of her films yet to judge.

Worker and the Hairdresser-Good, light comedy that while not on the level of the Giannini-Wertmuller films is still a decent film on its own.

I've never heard of Her before.

Sotto Sotto-My favorite post 1979 Wertmuller film. Excellent comedy with some memorable humorous moments. Does an effective job in dealing with the insecurities of the male main character. The climax alternates between the funny and the tragic.
