It started out innocently enough....

A roomate of mine moved out and left an action figure here.."Future Spawn" and on top of my TV it sat for months. I'd look at that thing and I thought " that looks likea Japanese robot...pretty cool look'n.." Then one day I'm in the Grocery store walking by the toys and I see this "Dead Spawn" and it's the "Manga" series and it looks like a freak'n Japanese robot. So I buy it, it was only like 8 bucks.

Big mistake.

Now I'm sitting in a room surrounded by these damn things. I don't even know how many I have. When I ran out of shelf space for the ones I opened I began to keep them in the packages tacked to the wall like a real collector nerd. I've got whole series of Spawn..with multiples of some of the cooler ones. I've got Movie Maniacs. I've got a 18" Freddy Kruger. I've got Silent Screamers and Kiss Alive and Ozzy and I've got obscure Japanese "Resurrection of Monsteless" figures. I've got Stan Winston's Creature Feature figures...I've got Marv from Sin City ( including the controversial "Death Row" Marv that vibrates when you "flip the switch'). I have extremly cool Tortured Souls Clive Barker figures. I've even got a freak'n Flaming Carrot figure.

The good news is that I haven't bought any in over a year and I think I'm cured. Although I may have to break down and get McFarlane's upcomming Wizard of Oz figures..those are so...wicked!

I need to get on ebay and unload some of these goddamn things. Don't get me wrong; I'm gonna keep a few of 'em but this is way to many to try to move.

Anyone else been afflicted with this sickness?

I was tempted by some of the Universal Classic Monsters figures, but decided that any purchases of them would be difficult to justify to my wife...

Recently I've been tempted by some of the cool new James Bond 12-inch figures. (They've even got Lazenby and Dalton!)

I didn't start for the problem that Chuk is having... I'm already addicted to DVDs and CDs as it is... No use adding another thing onto that list...

Marv from Sin City sounds cool, chuk.I still have some of the old figures from my youth-GI Joe,Superheroes.I went through a phase in the early-mid nineties and bought every Bane(Batman villain)figure I could find.I still have all of them in the boxes, though I don`t display them.

I've got a bunch of them, my wife likes'em too so we're a bad combination. We have a lot of POTA stuff, some Bruce Lee stuff, and quite a few movie maniacs and Kiss figures littering the house. My pride and joy is a kick ass 19" Daimajin figure from Japan.

Ha!

I remember when I was 5, my dad took me to this huge toy store and told me to pick out a toy. Any toy I wanted. I came out with that bitchin' Alien figure (remember the retracting jaw/trigger?). Even back then I was an EVIL motherfucka!

Does anyone have those Lone Wolf and Cub action figures(two) that are not easily purchasable?

I also own those tall Star Wars dolls from the first movie. I had Darth Vader, Boba Fett and my sister had Princess Lea. Too bad nobody told me they would be worth any thing. Because I lost parts and my sister through out lea’s out fit and squeezed her into a Barbie one.

I remember getting the tall Darth Vader figure for christmas one year, and my mom threw out the lightsaber because it was too pointy....the last i remember of that figure, the elastics holding his arms on snapped, and they fell off.

Oh, if i had a damn time machine, i tell ya.

At the Seijun Suzuki site, .45 Calibur Samurai, they have a section called Suzuki swag where they have a Jo Shishido action figure(sold only in Japan) from Branded to Kill for anyone interested.

I've got quite a few, every year my brother-in-law finds the creepiest looking Spawn figures and gives them to me.

This place has some sharp looking figures but I am way to broke to get any...if I had the money, I would though.

Yeah, I was affected...caught a bad case of it this year when I was working full-time before school and got hooked. I only bought about ten McFarlane figures but it's hard to figure out how or if I'll get rid of them.

Damn repaints. Anyway, I'm cured now. Having only funds for DVDs sorts that out real quick.

There needs to be a GI Joe Kocur action figure!

It would have a kung fu grip, removable manboobs, and a little porno dvd accessory. When you pull the string on his back, it goes "FUUUUUUUCK!!!" and it would be the first action figure that could actually consume booze.

I'd buy one. Hell, I'd actually even take it out of the package.
