I just learned that MY MO(u?)RNING JACKET will open for Bob Dylan during one of his spring shows. It just happens it's the Louisville show I'm going to.
Has anyone heard of this band? If not, I'm guessing they are some local band.

They are a local band Michael but they just signed to a major and have been in quite a few music mags as of late. They make some pretty good music and I'm not just saying that because I share a drinking buddy with a couple of members.

Thanks a lot. I really don't like opening acts before Dylan but oh well.
What type of music do they sing? Dylan doesn't usually use opening acts but when he does they are never his "genre" if you will.
Since you're friends, try to get us backstage. I screwed up my last chance at meeting Dylan but I might try again this time. There's no way in hell his bus is getting out on Bardstown Rd during Derby kickoff.

Some girl came into the record store where I work and asked "Do you have My Morning Jacket?"
I answered "no, where was the last place you left it?"
Thank you, thank you. I'll be here all week. Tip your waitress, tip your bartender.

Chad, you might want to tell your friends NOT to open for Dylan. Dylan fans are the worst in the world when it comes to opening acts. They don't like them and will boo them off the stage no matter who they are. Sheryl Crow once said that the hardest thing she ever had to do was to open for Dylan.

Here are a few clips from Amazon.com if you're interested Michael...
