I just realized I really appreciate this mans work. Just watching The Dead are Alive and he shows up and rules the show. One of my favorite gay characters in a eurocult movie is his performance as Dr Brown in Cat O'Nine Tails. His work in westerns is always fantastic... and yeah, he's was magnificent underrated actor with the same intense style like Kinski, but still very different.

Just wanted to share Horst Frank with you all. Give him some love.

I've seen him in several Eurohorror films, but I always think of him as Dr. Braun. That was a very effective performance. I always enjoy seeing him - he's one of those guys like Luigi Pistilli, Alberto DeMendoza or Eduardo Fajardo that always brings a special "something" to these films.

Big fan of his...spaghetti western villain par excellence! JOHNNY HAMLET wouldn't be the same without old Horst. He's also a memorably scummy guy in EYE IN THE LABYRINTH.

He's great this long time stalwart name on German TV, I know him primarily from heavies in drama and cop shows like DERRICK and DER KOMMISSAR ("Big City Rats" episode below) more than his other Euro work. One of his biggest audience successes came a bit late or middle of his career, as the mysterious Baron de Lefouet in the popular suspense series TIMM THALER (1979). Sharp dressed playboy killer in this 1983 DERRICK clip.
