Seeing the post from Erica Gavin in the Russ Meyer thread made me wonder, what other well-known (or relative of) posted a few times then disappeared. A few I can think of:

Ron Sullivan (Henri Pachard) - Since he was very ill at the time, this is understandable.
C. J. Laing - Think she only joined to get Shaun Costello out of here.
A. C. Stephen's daughter - Only a couple of posts
Lynne Margulies - Not sure if we should count her since there were other issues that probably caused her to stop posting.

I know there were others, who?

I wasn't around at the time, but I'm pretty sure I saw some posts from COMBAT SHOCK and NO WAY HOME director Buddy G. when I was doing a search.

Tis' true. He showed up in the Life is Hot in Cracktown thread.
Shaun Costello posted here for a bit, so I wouldn't count him. And Richard W. Haines, director of Class of Nuke 'Em High, Splatter University, Alien Space Avneger posted here for a spell... but then decided to leave.

Just remember that show biz folks(who post on forums) also have very busy schedules(both [mainly] business and personal-related) that often keep them away from forums.

And let's not forget that Ron Sullivan also passed away from cancer a year or two ago. :( :(

Giovanni Lombardo Radice was on answering questions.

David Hess made 1 post and that was it. I blame the chick who hyped his appearance up so much and was such a prick tease personally.

Didnt some porn actor from the early 90's posted a few times, and joined this forum to communicate with CJ Laing?

Seems to me that 70s porn star Jody Maxwell (UNWILLING LOVERS) popped in for a post or three a few years back.

He infamously did. And insulted anyone who didn't like his film.

He shot himself in the foot on that one.....I didn't think MSP was that bad, but most people on various forums didn't bother seeing it due to his borderline-insane promotion.

Jeff, yes. Harry Fielder hasn't been in a while, if I'm not mistaken.

Seems to me that 70s porn star Jody Maxwell (UNWILLING LOVERS) popped in for a post or three a few years back.

I hope you don't know about it already but I'll tell this quick story...

I once was doing a google search for UNWILLING LOVERS and found that it was mentioned on this music review/band interview site run by Mark Prindle; he's kind of a gonzo writer and coincidentally I visit there once in a blue moon.

So I check it out and find that the mention and basically a discussion of classic adult cinema just randomly shows up within a review of a Byrds record! And Jody Maxwell appears in the comments section and starts saying some pretty interesting stuff about her experiences and the industry. She also happens to be close friends with Byrds founding member Gene Clark, which she claims is how she stumbled onto Prindle's site.

If you're interested, here's the link:

http://www.markprindle.com/byrds.htm

It's under the review of the 'Byrds on the Wyng' album.

I'm under the impression that most of the semi-famous people mentioned in this thread are doing google searches on their name. If I was in a similar position, I would be compelled to make an appearance somewhere like here if the discussion was intelligent enough. But in most cases you can only go so far with it, really. Hence, the disappearing.

Edit: So I just searched on HERE for Jody and see that Robin already knows some good stories and info about her. Well Duh! Anyway, the link above is still neat.
