View Full Version : Black Christmas BLU audio sync problem?

Is there something wrong with just my Blu-ray of Black Christmas, or has anyone else experienced a sync problem with the audio on this disc?
I've watched mine twice now and both times the audio was out of sync by probably a second (I think it's a second early). It's pretty annoying to hear it and then watch them say it, also takes the edge off the climactic moments.
I haven't seen this problem mentioned anywhere else so I thought I'd ask and see if it's just my disc that's effed.

Ha ha, last night I decided to watch the BD of BLACK CHRISTMAS this weekend. I'll let you know if anything is amiss with my copy.

The nastiest hiccup is that the audio falls out of sync several times. The longest stretch starts when Mrs. Mac is ranting to the mirror about that damned cat, and it's a fraction of a second off for several scenes straight. Toggling back and forth between the 5.1 track and the original mono, only the remix seems to be out of sync here. However, when Jess fusses to Peter about wanting to have "a rational, adult conversation", the lines don't even come close to matching the lip movements in both tracks. I can only assume that's from some really lousy ADR work.

Thanks for the help!
I effing love the picture on this disc. I wish they had gotten the sound right. What a HUGE over sight! Didn't anyone from the company watch a test disc before releasing it to the public?!!
