View Full Version : Swamp Thing uncut on OnDemand

To those who may be interested, FEARnet on Comcast cable has Swamp Thing uncut on OnDemand.
Unfortunately, you do have to put up with all the irritating pop-ups and crawls, and ads for MBV 3-D, but if you want to see Adrienne Barbeau in all her glories, they are there for all to see, as well as, the hookers/strippers scene.

You know, for the longest time I thought these FEAR.Net movies were cut since they all had "TV-14" listed as the rating. I watched Last House on the Left on the channel, and it was NOT CUT in any way - identical to the unrated MGM disc.
Thanks for the heads up.

The uncut version is widely available outside the US. My UK DVD (which is the same DVD released throughout Europe) has Barbeau's boobs in all their glory. (However the expositionary crawl at the beginning is done as player-generated subtitles rather than the original on-film opticals - rather annoying...)

I almost watched it last night, but went to Cinemax OnDemand and watched Diary of the Dead and Doomsday back-to-back. Big mistake!
Also noticed that Mick Garris' pitiful "Fear Itself" series is sneaking it's way onto Fearnet. Between that, and the terrible interviews with shitty goth bands, it's getting harder and harder for me to appreciate the free horror channel. But then they end up showing Night of the Creeps in HD, or an uncut Swamp Thing, and I forget all about it...

Thanks for the heads up! Sure beats buying a boot of this thing. I'm still not sure if I've ever seen the uncut version, but it'll be good to revisit this film after all these years.
