Goblin. Don't like KC much I'm sad to say, kind of wish I did, but hey can't win 'em all.

Goblin for me. King Crimson is undeniably important and frequently great but even their best albums can suffer from stretches of interminable noodling (does anyone actually enjoy the "jam" that's attached to the end of "Moonchild? it sounds like 10 minutes of instruments being tuned to me). Goblin can get just as jazzy but they do so in a smaller, more tightly-controlled musical setting - and that impresses me more so they get my vote.

A lot of the albums had similiar tracks. "Devil's Triangle" on IN THE WAKE OF POSEIDON goes on waaaay too long, and I'll listen to just about anything mellotron! (The first 2/3 is great though).

King Crimson for me, "Fracture" is "The Simpsons" theme only much much cooler

I'll just take Goblin. King Crimson will win but I'll give them a vote for being cool. And I find some Crimson tedious and I can't say that for Goblin but then they didn't release as much either. I have the Roller lp and it's pretty good.
