Tull. Watched a 1982 show of theirs last night, good line-up there, with Gerry Conway on drums.

I love Tull but I have to be in the mood to really enjoy their stuff. However, I can listen to Pink "Prog Masters" Floyd anytime because they're so damn progalicious.

Floyd (prog or not, I just like them better overall).

Wow, these are all very close. This one looks like it'll be the first to top the 10 vote win. One more and the Floyd have it.

I'm baffled at this outcome! :D

Pink Floyd it is.

Nothing baffling about it... Pink Floyd is a more all-encompassing band, they're far more successful and accessible to all audiences, prog or not. Tull has flutes. ;)

Jonathan Douglas

True, though the flute goes back to Medieval times (and beyond even), and prog is very inspired by early music and classical music (and again folk), making Tull perhaps the ultimate prog band. Just my two cents. ;)

Tull doing an amusing performance of "Broadsword", on German TV 1982, in front of an audience of grannies! I Think IA's Mufti look scared them.
