I'd like to be the first to welcome X999-com-ua. I hope the fun on these boards isn't too much for his circuitry.

There are old 'droids and there are bold 'droids; but there aren't many old, bold 'droids.

We get sooooooooooo many spam account sing ups everyday it's retarded. That's why you can't get on without Eddie or I approving your account.

I get the same thing at my site...I have had to block certain email addresses and we enabled the visual registration thing, but they still come through...

Most of the bots are gone, but we still get the bogus spammers...We also use the user activation registration...Since they use bogus emails (I think they are bogus email addresses) they can never activate themselves...

I just delete them as I find them...

I still say that accounts that have no posts after a certain time (like a year or something) should be automatically deleted unless that person has at least 50 posts to his/her name. I think that will help clean out the member list of dud accounts from people who signed up two years ago, posted once or twice, got bored and will probably never visit the site again.
