So a couple of weeks ago, Overkill came back to Portland for the second time in twelve months. Despite the $20 cover, Noland and I, along with our good buddy Matt, made the pilgrimage. After warming up at a bar around the corner watching Robot Chicken and drinking warm PBR, we hit the venue where the show was going to happen. After a less than impressive opening act, Blitz and company took the staeg and it looked something like this (except not as grainy in real life as it looks in these pictures).

You can tell in this shot that they are rocking. For real.

Here's some more rock.

Rock made us happy.

And our happiness just made them rock more.

You know what's great about general admission metal shows? The meatheads in the mosh pit. I think this guy is some sort of heavy metal wizard and that he's casting a spell on his mosh-opponent.

These guys are having too much fun.

The cool thing about using a flash when there is stage lighting and lots of smoke in the air is that it can make the singer look like he has robot laser eyes like in this picture here.

When the show was all over we went to the loading area of the venue to hang out and wait for the band. Bobby came out and was only too happy to pose for a picture with me and my freshly purchased 'FUCK YOU' t-shirt which I'll probably never wear unless I go to another Overkill show.

When Noland and Matt wanted their picture taken (along with some guy peeking through peeking over Noland's shoulder) he didn't look quite as happy but he was a good sport about it none the less.

It was a good show. Overkill still kicks ass live.

Bobby Blitz looks like he's been smoking 5 packs a day using only his front 2 teeth.

That is so fucking metal.

Isn't it though? What exactly is going through that guy's head right when that picture was taken?

He was wondering if that guy beside him is really wearing an acidwash jean jacket.
