Who was the better frontman?

I'll give the vote to Axl. I didn't like much of GNR outside of the Appetite For Destruction album, but he definitely seemed to want it more than Weiland. A better showman, IMO. I'm also not big on a lot of STP, but Weiland just seemed to stand there. haven't seen him with the latest band though.

He's kinda a douche but Axl of course.

AXl of course because he was more ROCK STAR...

and he had better songs..

Although it is not surprising that he couldnt sing live very well...He was always sprinting around the stage from one side to the other for NO REASON!!

I also went with Axl. Although I saw Weiland perform TRUE COLORS with Lauper on stage and he sounded EXACTLY like Neil Diamond.

Weiland - I have always hated the sound of Axl...

I'm with Chuk.

Weiland didn't sing "Night Train" though. So he loses.

I'd kick 'em both in the balls if given half a chance.

Axl

To quote Mike Patton: Who?

I like Weiland better although both of them are pretty inconsistent in my book. What about Layne Staley? He was better than both of them put together.

If by better you mean possessing the ability to shoot up hlaf the heroin in Seattle and still be able to lean into a mic stand and howl out, then hell yea, he was better.

I was watching the Unplugged performance on dvd last night, best unplugged MTV ever did. In all honesty when the crowd cheers for him when he comes out while Cantrell plays the intro to "Nutshell" surpasses anything by the aforementioned two in the poll, by far.

Except "Night Train".
