Give it up for one of the best American bands in existence.

Oh, come on now. Can't I get a witness?

What's funny to me is that they will forever be known for La Bamba. I remember I bought "Acoustic En Vivo" at an indie record type of store and the clerk looked at it and went... "Los Lobos? The 'La Bamba' guys? REEEEETCHIE!" :D

"How Will the Wolf Survive?" is a bad ass record.

I also like their weirdo side project The Latin Playboys, particularly the S/T.

Los Lobos rule, I would have seen them a month or so ago if I didn't have to leave and play a show.

Cool. I knew I couldn't be alone here. Their new one "The Town and The City" just came out this week. I've only got a chance to hear it once, but it's sounding pretty dang good so far.

And Will, you're right about the La Bamba thing. People that only know them for that are missing out on so much more.
