The fourth and final New Wave match-up. I'll take the four winners and throw them together in a semi-final match and then the two survivors will emerge to see who comes out on top. Pick one.

May be the toughest choice yet for me but I'll go with The Cars.

Blondie, big time. I have all their albums up to 'Eat To the Beat', and love everything. Still remember seeing Debbie Harry in a trashbag singing 'Dreaming' on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE back in the day; the 'Eat To the Beat' videos may be the first 'videos' I ever saw, back on the Midnight Special in the late 70s. Favorite Blondie song is tough, but probably '11:59' or 'Dreaming'.

The CARS by a mile. I like BLONDIE but could get by with a "Greatest Hits" cd. I love those first 2 CARS albums to death.

Blondie for me... great band, although they did release that wretched last 80s album (The Hunter was it, I can't be bothered to check). Still, the early stuff is classic.

Blondie. Simply becuase of Debbie Harry. I wanted to do all kinds of nasty things to her. I wanted to cover her ass in crisco and have her call me Juan Ronald.

The Cars. Aside from a couple of songs, Blondie bugs the shit out of me.

I'm a Debbie Harry guy.

And although the first album and Candy-O are superior to Blondie and Plastic Letters, I think Parallel Lines by itself rocks harder than anything The Cars cranked out.

Blondie. Debbie Harry is hip-hop icon.

Poll has been closed since Sunday boys and girls. We are now on to the semi-finals, close to going to the finals. The hip-hop icon has been defeated.

Is this a serious comparison? Come on! I can't believe The Cars are winning. :(
