The mod who banned you was obviously drunk on Irish ale and listening to Christian rock at the moment...

Well if that was enough to ban you from the forum then everyone over there must be walking a thight rope just waiting to get banned. Such overly strict PC forums should be banned.

No, we're just having one of those hypthetical, 'what if' type conversations, you know? Once there was other forums, or so I've been told, and it's quite fun to talk about it in a nostalgic kind of way.

To get serious for a second, one of the things I've noticed around here is that this board really is quite well behaved in general.

Great mods and great members make for a pleasant and informative experience.

I'll stop kissing ass now. :D

This board has lines you can't cross, but the lines you can are satisfying enough.

Rigourous policing of political discussions and encouraging the use of more or less proper names are good policies for keeping things friendly.

Here's the offending thread. I joined this board purely coz there's a rock crit I like who useta post there, but hasn't now for a good few months, so it's become duller than Dishlex..

It was a 'political' discussion about the Middle-East. These guys seems to know everything, without ever having been there:

It's communist. I know why the rules are there, but discussion between long term members should be just fine. If there was a way to perhaps discuss certain issues in a "debate" forum maybe it'd be for the better, but once you bring up politics, for example, people with -1 posts decide to show up and voice there opinion like anyone gives a rats ass. In a way it's better to just ignore it. There are other places you can mosey on over to if you feel the need to discuss extremely opiniated current events. I mean, we are the land of exploitation, horror, porn and the heavy.

William: an intelligent and reasoned response was not called for here. I was just joking. :D

Anyway, you are absolutely correct. And I never get pissed when political stuff leaks in here from any side. But I understand the rules, and respect them - because they make sense.

My response was half tongue in ass cheek, but the main thought was conveyed properly. I probably should've made more obvious in jokes or something. I'll do my damndest to stay focussed for next time.

That's why I have two passports. I can jump ship when the Titanic hits the iceberg.

Swedish J'oh, do your legal issues ever make it hard for you to travel? Like, are you banned from any countries? How hard is it to get banned from a country?

Christoffer S
09-09-2006, 05:06 PM
Im not banned from any, as I hold a Swedish passport = European Union = VIP treatment all over the place.

Except like fucking america, that treats me like a terrorist for some few drunken shenanigans that have gone on my permanent record :(

Frank Estrada

Well, don't you have to do something really BAD to get on Interpol? What did you do, blow up a stadium?

Christoffer S
09-09-2006, 05:15 PM
Well Im not wanted by fucking interpol! I just was advised by the US embassy not to apply for a visa to the us the last time it came up, since it would hurt me in the long run. Being a criminal and all

William R.

Ha. I like how having a record doesn't fuck with your US Passport. At least it didn't. It probably does now. For the most part I use my BC to travel to Mexico. It's easier to get around the world with a foreign passport than one belonging to the US. Getting back in is a different story.
