Oh yes. Hole in the Sky is a norwegian metal festival, held in Bergen. The bands playing there is:
Wednesday 23/8: "Sworn Revenge"
She Said Destroy
Thursday 24/8: "Immortal Rites"
Friday 25/8: "Blessed From Below"
Saturday 26/8: "Morbid Tales"
Keep of Kalessin
My Dying Bride
I'm just going to be there Friday and Saturday, because I'm starting at high school and can't miss too many days in the start of the year, although I'd like to see Morbid Angel and Necrophagist. I'll probably be seeing all the bands both days, but the favorites is Witchcraft, Atheist, Destruction, 1349, Keep of Kalessin and I. Looking forth to see what brew Abbath and company has made this time, with I. This is so going to rock!

Friday night will be the happening of the year. Two of my favorite bands (Witchcraft and Atheist) in one evening, plus Destruction, Satyricon and Gojira, can it get much better? Nope.

Oh my, oh my. I am so excited now. In 24 hours, I'll be seeing Atheist or Destruction at this time. Cd's are ready for the 5 hours in car to Bergen, map and tickets are ready. Atheist will without doubt be the best show, but there's plenty of others that'll be great too! ATHEIST!

Best. Weekend. EVER!
We arrived at 4 on Friday, found the hotel, went to the place where the shows are held, and then went to eat, and back to the concerts, so we did only catch a couple of songs by Grimfist, which was good, from what I saw. 4/6.
Then it was Witchcraft, who delivered a great show, although they could have chosen some other songs. 5/6.
Then it was Gojira, a band that I didn't think was good on CD before HITS, but after seeing them live, I've changed opinion on that. Fantastic show, great music and great musicians. 5/6
Then came the highlight of this evening; Atheist. A band that ranks among my top 3 when it comes to music. I hoped that they would do a good job, and they did. They actually did a great job, fantastic musicians, fantastic choice of songs, great show. 6/6.
Then it was thrash legends Destruction who wanted to show off. They got the audience with them fast, and did a great show, although the choice of songs wasn't that good. A friend lost a bit of his left front tooth in the moshpit. 4/6
Last show this evening was Satyricon, which I wasn't that interested in seeing, but I saw 2-3 songs, but the songs stunk, and the show wasn't better, so we went after 3 songs. 2/6
The next day started with Keep of Kalessin. The show wasn't that great, but the music rocked! 3/6.
Then it was Sahg, which I wasn't interested in seeing, although I stood back in the hall watching them with slightly interest. The show was great, but the music... Nah. 3/6.
1349 was next, and they delivered a great show until the pyro effects made the fire alarm go off, and the power went off with it. So there was this emberassing silence in 20 minutes or so, before the power came on again. Even though the roof-lights also was on, they delivered a good show. 4/6.
I. Abbath's new band. Only one song broadcasted before the show. This one song made many believe that this was going to be Immortal mixed with Motörhead, but this turned out to be wrong. It was more like Immortal with a tiny bit of the new Darkthrone in it, and it was material made for headbanging. The best show after Atheist. 6/6
Then I and some friends went out, some of them took a cigarette and drank some beer, then we walked around a bit, met some other friends and such, talked and had fun, went in to the last 2-3 songs by My Dying Bride, which I didn't like that much, not the songs nor the show. 2/6
Last was Celtic Frost, which I've never been a big fan of, and this didn't do it any better. I didn't last longer than 2 songs before I went to the hotel. Bad show, not any great songs. 2/6

Nice! I'm glad Atheist wailed, Bard.
It's great when a band you love doesn't disappoint.
