Read about this over at Fangoria:
Giallo Scrapbook - pages of blood (http://www.fangoria.com/news_article.php?id=3942)
I've already got the definitive giallo book in Blood and Black Lace but any literature on the genre is required owning for me. I will definitely be picking it up.

Produced by the excellent Midnight Media, the guys behind Is it Uncut?, have produced an A5 44 page book with rare stills and reviews. I'm looking forward to getting this in the post along with the new issue of Is it Uncut!!!

This looks cool. but only covering 40 films. There were about 40 of these films made just in 1872. Would be nice to see reviews of films rarely written about..non Argento , Fulci Bava... however much i Love them.
I also have BLOOD AND BLACK LACE book. A must have for Giallo fanatics
Love those 70s posters..

Koven, the author of this article from kinoeye.org, seems to be preparing an in depth work about the giallo genre, not a work about the individual movies, but about the thematical aspects of the genre in a more academical light. I find this article very informative:

Looks pretty good - I like IS IT UNCUT magazine a great deal, so I have a feeling anything they put their name to will be well done. I do wish it covered more films, but Blood and Black Lace has that angle pretty well under control, so a well-written book with a narrower and more in depth focus will be a welcome addition to my film library.

I picked one of these up at the Chiller show last weekend. Not tons of information, but a nice summary of each movie, with a half dozen or so stills for each. I'm very happy with it.

Mikel J Koven - the guy you mention about the upcoming book on gialli - is one of those academics who takes cult film seriously, without condescencion. There's a good piece by him in the book "Alternative Europe" on the Italian Nazi Exploitation cycle, well worth a look. (Unfortunately the chapter on the Italian cop film in the same volume isn't so hot.)
