I wasn't really looking forward to the new episodes, but North By North Quahog sold me. It's just as funny as it used to be (the GI JOE scene was one of the best they've done) and although it didn't reach the quality of Family Guy at it's peak, it was pretty good. I almost wish I had FOX. Anyone else looking forward to the new season? Anyone have any reservations about it?

I have no reservations only anticipation. Sucks that I will have to wait for a DVD release.

I don't get FOX here. For some reason if you live on the island you can't get local channels with the dish. I wish they would've just put them on Cartoon Network, especially with all the censorship nonsense dealing with FOX. I guess the money helps.

Yeah, I'm getting a copy of the new episode tonight. :)

It's been floating around the net since last week.

I have been looking forward to the new season since first announced, but even I have to admit I was/am nervous it will blow. I have only seen 5 minutes of the new episode and so far it seems the show didn't miss a beat. I can't wait to see the rest... 4 more hours til home... 4 more hours til home...

I am at work.

I thought the epsidoe was very funny, right on par with past episodes.

The rundown of failed FOX shows was a hoot. :D

Rub it right in FOX's face. :)

I also dug Mt. Rushmore... "Hey, Teddy. Pass the word down to Frankenstein."

I just read that each new Family Guy ep will run on Adult Swim 11 (or so) days later.

Yeah, I heard Adult Swim would run the new episodes the following week or so.

I saw that new episode floating around and it appears the show is as good as ever.

Good ep, really glad to see it back, but AMERICAN DAD really sucks ass.

Family Guy was HILARIOUS!!! They haven't missed a beat. I thought American Dad was ok too. I think its gonna take at least a half season or so before they find the character's niches, much like Family Guy did.

I haven't seen the new episode yet. But I can't wait. I love this show.

I haven't seen American Dad yet either. I heard it's almost exactly like Family Guy. Which is okay by me.

Ok. The new season is one for two. The second episode kind of sucked. I laughed out loud twice and a You Can't Do That on Television reference out of fucking nowhere was welcome, but most of the jokes fell flat on their asses, and hard. Too many long stretches of unfunny.

I also saw an episode of American Dad for the first time out of curiosity and what a shit pile that show is. What were they thinking?

Just saw the second episode, and I loved it.
Bring 'em on!

My advice to the creators (and I'm sure millions have already said it) is scrap American Dad and focus on writing amazing Family Guy episodes.. As I know they can do.

I hardly ever watch TV these days but I caught both Family Guy and American Dad last night ( 5-15). Both were pretty damn funny. This time American Dad was better than when I saw it before. The "Burning Man" stuff was pretty funny.

What's with all the incest jokes though?

Last night's episode was my least favorite of the three. I've given up on American Dad. If not for the fact that it comes on right after Family Guy I'd probably never see another second of it. It's had a few funny moments, but none of the episodes were very good as a whole.

It's really just a Family Guy with a more insane premise and all of the funny taken out.

"Oh God, that is not me, that is not who I am. I vote Democrat."

I finally got around to watching the fourth episode and it was pretty good. I liked the premier episode but the next two were ass. This brings family guy to a 2 for 2 record thus far. There was a Devo reference and fuckin' Journey all in the same episode, which is a recipe for success in my book. They lost it for a bit when they started the family band (the song was a bit grating, but it was gone soon enough), but Brian the racist dog was awesome and the Fallon beatdown was great. Judging by this episode, hopefully they've put all the past gag references behind them. It wasn't the greatest episode, but it's a step in the right direction. I have yet to revisit AMERICAN DAD.

Just watched the 4th episode of each tonight. I though FG was great, Brian as the apollogetic (spelling and pun intended) racist dog was too funny.

I'm cool with AD. It's not great but it amuses me.
