Next week's midnight movie at the Egyptian will be Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. I've never seen it on the big screen, I can't wait! The Egyptian has a great sound system too. Any other Seattle-area Maniacs gonna be there?

best way to see it!! Caught it in the 8o's that way, and (being that it was my first Meyer film) I have never recovered.

It shows up in PDX periodically too. It played at the Laurelhurst last summer.

How was it? I'd love to see the film/hear the groovy songs in a theater.

It was fantastic- I haven't had that much fun watching a movie in a long time! I think it was a new 35 mm print, it looked great, and the music was awesome (the Egyptian has a sweet sound system). Good crowd too, laughed and cheered all the way through. Got my fingers crossed that we'll be seeing a release date for that long awaited Criterion edition sometime soon.
