Just wondering if there's a full uncut pre Lion Gate version of this anywhere? I've read on the Internet Movie Database that the full length film was 112 mins, and that alot was cut from the movie. Is there a full length version anywhere in the world? Like Samhain a rough/production cut?

At this past Horrorfind Con Rob stated there was actually was never an 'uncut version' to a packed crowd of people asking questions. Of course, this could be bullshit...

I remember hearing bizarre rumours right before the film hit dvd about there being an uncut verision wich had only screened in a festival in Argentina but other than that I don't know. This rumour sound's like BS to me. Typical the only screening would be in Argentina or some remote country like that. Probably bogus.

Can't recall the rag I read it in but it said a longer version DVD will likely be released in '05. If i find the article again I'll add the magazine's name. It's a very recent issue.

Zombie started towing the company line for whatever reason, probably to get funded for a sequel. obviously there is a longer version since it had to be trimmed for release, i wont hold my breath for it, he doesnt seem to care about it anymore.

I think Zombie has stated that the full un-cut version hasn't been released yet because he hasn't had enough time to finish editing. Plus, some of the stuff he shot was literally lost when they had to move between studios. I know he said some behind the scenes footage is missing and maybe some scenes he wanted in the movie, I"m not sure.
Once Devil's Rejects comes out next year I think there's a really good chance of a new House 1000 Corpses un-cut and packed with extras dvd coming out.

I remember reading a interview with Zombie where he said that the only thing he had to trim was a few extra stabs in one scene.

The 'fishboy' sequence was definitely more graphic:)
Two hints are given on the current dvd. 1-one or two photos in the gallery which show more gruesome stuff(ax in chest) that are not in the film itself. Commentary,Rob mentions it being the most disturbing sequence(to himself) which they had to cut down...then inquires before going into too much detail "maybe,we'll save that for another time".
Rob is confusing in his interviews always contradicting what he said previouslly. I think he may be playing the showman, only giving us vague information to keep people confused and talking about it. A sure way to keep people interested in the product and eventually milk them for all they are worth.
While I doubt a full 15 minutes of depraved footage would be added to an unrated version of the film. I bet a few minutes at least. From what Rob hints on the commentary. Alot of scenes,or bits and pieces of scenes were cut since they didn't work to well. Yet in terms of graphic violence/gore,I am sure abit here and there was cut from the film which would be restored in an unrated release.
We'll just have to wait and see what happens when The Devils Rejects is released.

I hate to beat on the dead horse, but the final word now is, that there won´t be "Unrated"-version of this? I tried to read the "Devil's Rejects"-forum, and there are so much rumors and opinions, that you get confused. But you get the feeling, that Zombie doesn´t have "time nor energy" to start making longer version, and also that the material might be lost (which actually doesn´t sound that believable to me).
There are already rumors about the "Devil's Rejects Director's Cut" also..
Why this is so hard? ;)
