Anyone check this one out yet? The Miike segment is an okay story but the visuals are absolutely gorgeous. The Fruit Chan segment is totally twisted and darkly humorous and the Chan Wook Park story is just out there but strangely compelling.

I should have it any day now. I ordered it earlier this week. I didn't know Miike was included until after I ordered it. I initially picked it up for Dumplings. I'm looking forward to giving it a watch when it comes in.

I think Dumplings is the strongest of the three stories, but the other two are very cool as well. The HK DVD has a second disc of extras that I haven't gotten to yet, so I'm not sure if they're subbed or not.

I take it you're all aware that Fruit Chan's DUMPLINGS is also available as a feature length, stand alone film as well? On the strength of DUMPLINGS alone, I was going to check this out...however I personally consider Takashi Miike one of the most overrated Asian film directors of recent memory, so there's nothing compelling me to purchase this title over anything else. Is the South Korean segment at least worth watching?

I knew dumplins was available on its own but didn't realize until I clicked that link that it was a feature length cut. I'll have to check that out. And yes, the Korean segment is worth seeing. The HK disc is cheap, check it out. The Miike segment is very un-Miike as well, so you might even enjoy it.

I just picked this up on HK DVD this evening. With some weird Japanese film on DVD I can't readily identify. :o The packaging for Three extremes is pretty impressive for a HK edition. As is the fact that it has a matrix DTS ES track. They had the feature cut of Dumplings there, opted out of that film for the weird and perverted Japanese film. Which I'm presently searching information on. :D

Please give me details on the weird and perverted Japanese film :)

Here's what I know: It has a leggy Japanese schoolgirl in uniform on the cover, with a pistol. :D I wish I could scan it and post the cover but I'm not at home right now. Some interesting photos on the back showing guns, crime and Japanese chicks in bed.
If anyone has a clue as to what it's called please chime in. The guy I bought it from, insisted that it's a really good sex and Yakuza film.

This sounds good. :)

More Info: It's called Stop The Bitch Campaign. Not really a Yakuza film. Although the makeup wearing psycho in it is Yakuza. It's shot on Digital and has it's share of Japanese chicks in Bondage.

Funnily enough, just ordered STOP THE BITCH on a blind buy.....
How can you NOT want something with a title like THAT!!!! :p

Saw Three Extremes yesterday after watching the extended version of Dumplings the day before.
Very good stuff, id say the Miike one was the weakest but like Ian Jane said it looks great and is by no means bad at all.

I disagree. I liked Miikes one the most. Amazing movie. "Dumplings" was very good, and "Cut" was the weakest - but no means bad at all....
