David Gregory’s Plague Town Screenings and Trailer

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

PLAGUE TOWN, the upcoming MPI/Dark Sky Films horror-thriller that Fangoria Magazine hails as “a nightmare captured on celluloid”, made its West Coast premiere earlier this month at the Dead Channels Film Festival in San Francisco and East Coast premiere at Shlocktober Fest in NYC. PLAGUE TOWN will also be screening later this month at The Ravenna Nightmare Film Fest in Italy, The Razor Reel Fantastic Film Fest in Brugge, Belgium, Horrorthon in Dublin, Ireland, and The Hollywood Film Festival in Los Angeles.  Additionally, PLAGUE TOWN will be screening at a special Halloween event on October 30th in New Haven, CT.  More theatrical dates coming soon.   PLAGUE TOWN is the shocking saga of a dysfunctional family’s vacation to the Irish countryside, where they encounter a village of diseased, deformed and decidedly homicidal residents. The film marks the feature directorial debut of David Gregory and has already been called “one of the very few memorable horror flicks of the year, with daring forays into areas fright films generally fear to tread” by Films In Review.  “Independent horror has always challenged the norm and advanced the genre,” says director/co-screenwriter David Gregory. “PLAGUE TOWN goes into far more perverse and disturbing territory than the average horror film. The entire cast and crew of this film have not only pushed the envelope, but pummeled and mutilated it as well.”

The Plague Town trailer has been posted at www.PlagueTown.com.

Dark Sky Films is a DVD and theatrical distributor dedicated to the discovery, preservation and production of new and classic horror, sci-fi and cult movies from around the world. Visit www.darkskyfilms.com for more information

Lionsgate Presents… The Haunting In Connecticut!

Thursday, October 16th, 2008

In the tradition of such real-life horror movies as ‘The Exorcist’ and ‘The Exorcism of Emily Rose’, THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT tells the astounding true story of one family’s supernatural ordeal.  When Sara and Peter Campbell’s son Matt is diagnosed with cancer, they uproot their family to Connecticut for his treatment.  As the family settles into their new home, Matt grows increasingly disturbed by paranormal activity that seems to inhabit and possess the house.  At a loss to help her frightened family, his mother turns to an enigmatic priest who appears to rid the house of its ghosts– until the boy’s condition takes a sudden and unexplained turn for the worse and their lives are put in grave danger.
