New York, NY – Independent distribution company Alternative Cinema has finalized an agreement with cult classic label Blue Underground to be the exclusive distributor of BU’s line-up of mature sexploitation DVD titles,which currently include Oswaldo de Oliveira’s Bare Behind Bars and JessFranco’s 99 Women (X-rated French cut).
Beginning September of 2008, Alternative Cinema and its long-standing web-based store AlternativeCinema.com will fulfill all retail, etail and direct-to-consumer sales for the two Blue Underground exploitation classics. The new relationship was a natural in light of Alternative Cinema’s continued expansion into exploitation and mature sexploitation genres, combined with the recent conservative trend in traditional distribution.
